Opinion: City Clutch To Be Stopped By Gunners Form In Premier League?

Can Manchester City maintain their consistent end-of-the-season run? Will Arsenal be able to do what they could not achieve last season in the Premier League?

These and more questions are in the minds of both fanbases. As the Premier League title race looks down to enter the last lap of the season, here’s my take on the City vs Arsenal game, and other points.

We have come to the end of the International break and the Premier League is looming over us once more.

Arsenal will be taking on Pep Guardiola’s City this weekend, and this might just prove to be a title decider. Might be that.

Anyways, the Gunner’s last 8 meetings against the Citizens have been defeats, and now might just be the best time to do so.

Team Managers, Pep Guardiola – Man City (L) and Mikel Arteta – Arsenal (R)

City will be lacking important personnel, as Ederson, the man between the sticks will be out, as well as Stones and Walker.

And as we’ve seen earlier this season, City has been especially weak in defensive areas, leading to increased concession of goals from the defending champions.

As for the Gunners, relying on individual brilliance might not be the answer. They’ll need to stay compact and also try to force City into making errors, as will happen when City try to dominate the ball.

Mikel Arteta’s men will also have to be wary of making lapses themselves, as seen in previous fixtures where De Bruyne and Haaland have punished them without mercy.

In any case, Arsenal will rely on fast breaks and transitions and will depend on Saka who is in terrific form, Martinelli and Rice to be imperial in the midfield.

City might have Haaland and DeBrutne available, and as those two give nightmares to defenders, both Arsenal centre-backs will have to watch out for both to stop City from getting anything from the game.

For neutrals, this will be a blockbuster match, and surely one to feast on for 90 minutes.
