Nigerian activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore’s younger brother, Olajide Sowore, has been shot dead.
Olajide was about 50 years old.
Sowore broke the news via his Facebook page. He fingered “herdsmen/kidnappers” as the assailants. The attack was said to have occurred on Ore-Benin road near Okada, Edo state.
The deceased was reportedly on his way to Igbinedion University, Okada, where he is studying Pharmacy.
Sowore paid tribute to his younger brother as a “real human being”, vowing to his detractors, “This act in itself will not delay their day of justice”.
Omoyele is a fierce critic of the Buhari administration and currently facing treasonous charges by the government for his anti-government #RevolutionNow agitations.
