Nigerian comedian, Funnybone, has questioned the belief that people who wrong others will always face consequences, saying “bad people actually outlive the good ones.”

Funnybone shared the opinion in a social media post, where he argued that wrongdoing does not necessarily prevent people from prospering.

“Karma is outdated. Nothing will happen to the people who wronged you,” he wrote.

The comedian said some people may continue to thrive despite their actions, adding that being a good person does not automatically guarantee a reward.

“Bad people actually outlive the good ones. Nobody is necessarily paying for their wrongdoing,” Funnybone said.

Funnybone urged people to accept that being good should be a personal choice rather than something done with the expectation of receiving a reward.

Being good is a choice, and it doesn’t always come with a reward.

The world won’t stop rotating because someone wronged you, and the person who wronged you won’t necessarily stop doing well because they wronged you,” he said.

Reactions trail Funnybone’s comment

The post generated reactions from social media users. One user, @chairmanYNX, said Funnybone’s argument made sense until he suggested that being good does not come with a reward.

Your point was making sense until you said being good doesn’t come with a reward, that’s where I find it out of line,” the user wrote.

The commenter added that kindness should come from the heart rather than an expectation of receiving something in return, while agreeing that wrongdoing does not always attract immediate consequences.

Another reaction advised people to retaliate against those who wrong them, saying, “That’s why I recommend doing your own back, do not leave vengeance for God.”
