Former Migos rapper Offset was shot Monday evening near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Police confirmed the incident occurred around 7 p.m. ET in the valet area of the casino.
“Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public,” the department said in a statement.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. His representative confirmed: “Offset is stable and receiving medical care while being closely monitored.”
Authorities said officers were already nearby when the gunfire erupted, allowing them to respond within minutes. The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
“Operations continue as normal,” police reassured, emphasizing that the casino remains open and secure.
Offset rose to fame as part of the Atlanta rap trio Migos, alongside Quavo and Takeoff. The group split after Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston in 2022.
Offset was married to Cardi B from 2017 to 2022, and the couple share three children. His shooting comes amid ongoing concerns about celebrity safety in public venues.
