Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Liam Rosenior as their new men’s head coach, handing the Englishman a contract that runs until 2032.

This is a decisive long-term commitment as the club seeks stability and renewed success at the top of English and European football.

Rosenior arrives from RC Strasbourg, where he impressed by guiding the Ligue 1 side into European qualification for the first time in 19 years during his debut season.

He previously managed Hull City and Derby County, earning a reputation for tactical clarity and high standards.

In his first remarks, Rosenior said: β€œI am extremely humbled and honoured to be appointed Head Coach of Chelsea Football Club. This is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies. My job is to protect that identity and create a team that reflects these values in every game we play.”

He emphasised teamwork and unity as the foundation of his approach: β€œI believe deeply in togetherness and working for one another, and those values will be at the heart of everything we do.”

Chelsea’s hierarchy expressed confidence that the 40-year-old can maximise the squad’s potential, noting that while player development remains important, β€œthe Club’s expectations and ambitions remain high.”

The club concluded its statement with a vote of confidence, stressing Rosenior has both the responsibility and backing to ensure Chelsea competes at the highest level in all competitions.
