Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced a major cabinet reshuffle, relieving the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Olanike Kudirat Adeyemo, of her appointment with immediate effect.
In a statement issued Monday by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the governor confirmed the appointment of Professor Musibau Adetunji Babatunde as the new Secretary to the State Government.
Governor Makinde also elevated his Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, to the position of commissioner-designate. He will be presented to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The statement further announced two new appointments:
- Honourable Abiodun Adedoja as Special Adviser on Energy Security.
- Kolawole Elijah Akanmu as Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
The reshuffle reflects Makinde’s ongoing adjustments to strengthen governance and align his administration with evolving priorities in Oyo State.
