Interview: Tinubu Made Deals with Armed Groups Before 2023 Elections — Ladi Thompson

0

Pastor Ladi Thompson has given some troubling revelation about Nigeria’s security crisis.

In an online interview with Adeola Fayehun, monitored by JolibaLive News! he argues that the nation misunderstands the forces driving violence.

Thompson is a security consultant with over two decades of experience, having served as Deputy Secretary General and Director for Peace and Security at the African Union. He is also the global overseer of Living Waters Unlimited Church and international coordinator of the Macedonian Initiative.

The Macedonian Initiative is a faith-based NGO responding to Christian persecution in northern Nigeria since the 1990s.

Thompson alleges that powerful persons now in government made arrangements with armed groups before the 2023 elections, shaping Nigeria’s political and security situation.

He states, “To become President, he struck deals… he had arrangements with different armed actors.

Mr. Thompson insists Nigeria faces a global threat network linked to money flows and ideological movements, requiring a national reset and new security philosophy. He urged leaders to confront uncomfortable truths for real change.

This conversation below offers context and insight into Nigeria’s current security challenges.

The Interview

Q First and foremost, what exactly are we dealing with in Nigeria? What is even going on?

Ans I want to speak without a shred of doubt that what Nigeria is dealing with is both ancient and modern. It is bigger than religion, although religion is involved. This is not an Usman Dan Fodio narrative. It is a more modern, more deadly, more intelligent hydra — a supremacist agenda perfected by Osama bin Laden when he globalized religious terrorism. This is not merely a Fulani problem. It is bigger than that. We are dealing with at least 5–6 groups. It has a head in education, it has infiltrated security and defense systems, governance, and media.

Q You’ve mentioned different “heads” — can you put names and give evidence?

Ans I told you it is a supremacist agenda designed to use Islam as a cover. That is why for the first 15–16 years it targeted only Christians. I said publicly years ago that when they are ready to strike fully, they will start killing Muslims too. You are dealing with something global with a local face. Its objective is to take the whole of Nigeria, not some of Nigeria.

Q Who exactly is trying to take Nigeria?

Ans The intelligence architecture behind this thing is beyond local intelligence, but they have local actors. There is ISWAP. There are Fulani elements. There is the Kanuri-dominated Boko Haram. There is Ansaru, Laccurawa, and others. These are all offshoots of a global template provided by al-Qaeda — many heads, one heart. The goal is to take Nigeria, take West Africa, take the rest of Africa, and use the resources for global domination.

Q So it is al-Qaeda trying to take over Nigeria through multiple terrorist organisations?

Ans Yes, an intelligence created by al-Qaeda. Between 1991 and 1996, Osama bin Laden was in Sudan perfecting the model to globalize terrorism and rule the world with Sharia. He knew they would kill Muslims too. What we are dealing with is bigger than a religious problem — it is a supremacist agenda using Islam as its cover.

Q Some people watching may ask for evidence. Where is the actual proof of what you are saying?

Ans One of Africa’s biggest weaknesses is the inability to mathematise inquiry — to collect data, crunch it, and connect the dots. But if you follow Nigerian media over the past 20 years, nothing I said beforehand failed to come to pass. For evidence, take this simple one: nowhere in the world has a government responded to terrorism by “arresting” terrorists, claiming to have de-radicalized them, and then absorbing them into the national army. That alone is stupidity of historic proportions.

Q You are also saying there was government complicity. What evidence do you have?

Ans From 1999 to 2000 I discovered government complicity. I can give documents. When girls were kidnapped and married off, governors were aware. We have files on attacks — including the early warnings we raised when Gumi returned from Saudi Arabia and preached violence. We translated the messages, sent them to President Obasanjo through trusted channels, but nothing was stopped.
I even convened a strategic media meeting when 600–900 people were about to be slaughtered in Kaduna. Front-page headlines prevented it. The intelligence boy from the Gumi group fled the country immediately afterward.

Q You also mentioned an al-Qaeda operative appointed as a minister. Who was that?

Ans Isa Ali Pantami. I know because I supervised an evacuation in 2004 when a Christian student was slaughtered in ABTU. After that attack, Pantami was almost killed too. Later he became an advocate, but I know his background and ideological exposure.

Q You also talked about former heads of state being warned. Can you explain?

Ans A former head of state once told me nothing was happening. I reminded him that during his government, infiltration was already deep. After he visited a house in Yelwa, every member of the host family was slaughtered. It was a warning. When he later saw global intelligence reports abroad, he understood the scale.

Q So Nigeria’s military cannot withstand the forces building up?

Ans No. Nigeria has about 220 million people. All the extremists combined are fewer than 450,000. But the danger is not their numbers — it is the intelligence and logistics behind them. Even when the army spots targets, signals from Abuja often tell them not to attack until the terrorists have moved. That is proof of infiltration.

Q Are you saying this is coming from within the Nigerian government?

Ans Jonathan himself said there were terrorists in his cabinet. That is not new. This hydra is designed to collapse nations from within.

Q You then mentioned President Tinubu. What exactly is your concern?

Ans Let me be clear: I have nothing personal against him. But he does not understand the global nature of the problem. To become President, he struck deals — everyone knows this. He played the factions against one another. It is no longer a secret anywhere in the world that he had arrangements with different armed actors.

Q You are saying President Tinubu had a deal with terrorists. What evidence do you have?

Ans Let me give one. The man behind the Madalla Catholic Church bombing was in Lagos — in Snake Island — two or three days before the attack. He travelled north afterward.
He was arrested and “miraculously escaped.”

Where did he hide? In the lodge of a high-ranking government official from Borno — who today is Nigeria’s vice president. If not for global interference, Nigeria would already be 90% on the road to doom.

Q These are serious allegations. Can you defend them?

Ans Please don’t bother yourself — I am the one talking. I am a statesman; I worry about generations, not elections. Everything I am saying can be substantiated both in Nigeria and globally.

Q You mentioned early signs after Tinubu came in — kidnappings, bombings, and huge ransom demand. What were those?

Ans Those demands — like the outrageous ₦20 billion request — were coded messages to the presidency. Everyone already knows the complicity that existed under Buhari, including governors who admitted openly on TV that they paid terrorists across borders. Look at El-Rufai’s early tweets. Look at his statements. These things were happening because terrorists knew they had people inside government.

Q What opportunity do you say Nigeria has now?

Ans If we mismanage this opening, even God will look away. People are being slaughtered — children, bloggers, women — because they underestimated the danger.

Q Trump recently said he wants to intervene in Nigeria. What do you make of that?

Ans I prefer the word “intervention.” God has opened a window through Trump. Nigeria has been declared a Country of Particular Concern — not just by man, but by God. Nigeria is destined to be the trigger of a global revival, but the enemy wants it to become the epicentre of the next global satanic attack.

Q What exactly do you want the US to do?

Ans In the US, you have four types of people speaking:

  1. Those genuinely concerned.
  2. Those looking for government appointments.
  3. Those chasing money that follows policy.
  4. Zealots whose ignorance is dangerous.
If Nigeria cooperates with the right people, the country can be transformed within 4–8 years. The naira can move from ₦1600/ $ to ₦250–₦350/$ through the right intervention.

Q: Have you discussed any of this with the Nigerian government?

Ans A government that is busy denying reality cannot be approached. But if President Tinubu is ready, there is a way of escape for him. I fear for his life — if you do the analysis, he cannot trust anyone around him.

Q: What is the option you say they have?

Ans There is an option they are considering — he knows it — but Nigeria cannot afford it. If he cooperates with us, we can build a Nigeria where no Christian or Muslim is oppressed.

Q: What exactly is at stake?

Ans Nigeria never laid a proper foundation at independence. This hydra — created by bin Laden — has exploited that weakness. Unless we act now, the consequences will be catastrophic.
