Regina Daniels Vows to Take Custody of Her Children from Senator Husband

The marital drama between 64 years old billionaire lawyer and senator, and his estranged 24 years old beauty, Regina Daniels, is not letting up, with the actress now declaring that she is coming for her children now in custody of their father.

In a tearful video posted on her Instagram page, the Nollywood actress said she decided to speak publicly after watching her family rally behind her during what she described as “the most difficult time of my life.”

“I tried to be calm, I tried to let go, but I’ll fight for them, Ned,” she said. “I’ll take them, I’ll train them, I’ll raise them with or without your support. And you know that, my love.”

Regina speaks to her fans

Regina’s statement comes amid allegations by her family that Nwoko ordered the arrest of her brother, reportedly demanding her return home as a condition for his release.

The situation worsened after a viral video showed Regina weeping and alleging physical assault — a claim Nwoko vigorously denied, insisting the damsel was battling drug-related issues.

Defending her mother, veteran actress Rita Daniels, against online criticism, Regina slammed Nigerians for blaming her mother for the marriage and took responsibility for her choices.

“Please stop insulting my mom,” she pleaded. “She’s the best thing that ever happened to me — my god on earth. She suffered for us and doesn’t deserve your insults.”

She revealed that her family had strongly opposed the marriage from the onset.

“My family, especially my mom and brothers, told me not to marry him. Everyone warned me, but I was stubborn. I was so in love that I didn’t care,” she confessed.

‘I Wasn’t Sold for Money’

Responding to accusations that she married Nwoko for financial gain, Regina clarified that her family was not struggling when she made the decision.

“People say my mom sold me out for money — that’s a lie. We were not broke. I was already taking care of my family through my acting career. My mother didn’t push me; I made the decision myself.”

The actress disclosed that the emotional distress surrounding her marriage once pushed her to a breaking point. “One night, when they tried to stop me, I drove out to end my life because I felt I couldn’t live without him.”

A once happy home may be on the brink of collapse

She ended the video by thanking her family and fans for their support, noting that her brother’s online petition for justice had already attracted massive public backing.

“My family is actually in turmoil. It’s crazy, but we’ll definitely come out of it,” she said.

As public sympathy grows around her revelations, the question now is whether her husband — a man of no mean political influence and resources — will respond or challenge her claim to custody.

Regina and Mr. Ned have three children together.

Which side of the argument are you on — did Regina Daniels use her marriage as a ladder to fame and fortune, or did Senator Ned Nwoko take advantage of a young star’s innocence to burnish his image?
