The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has announced plans to hold a special prayer session for unmarried youths, waiting mothers, and their families.
Adeboye, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Administration, Pastor Oladele Balogun, said the event was born out of divine inspiration and would focus on “singles and mature singles, waiting and expectant mothers, and their families.”
He explained that recent population surveys show that singles, including mature singles, now make up over 40% of Nigeria’s adult population — a “vibrant but growing segment seeking marital settlement.”
“Waiting and expectant mothers, numbering in the millions globally, include families believing God for the fruit of the womb — a deeply spiritual and emotional journey for many,” the cleric added.
According to him, with RCCG’s presence in more than 190 nations, these groups form a vital part of the church’s global fellowship, bound by faith, hope, and prayer.
The special prayer session will take place during the November 2025 Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 2, at The Throne of Grace, RCCG National Headquarters, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, from 8:00 a.m.
Adeboye invited participants from around the world to join the service, either virtually or in person, describing it as “a life-transforming encounter with God.”
He encouraged those within reach of Lagos to attend physically.
