Afrobeats superstar Davido has officially announced the Nigerian leg of his 5ive Tour, a homecoming celebration that will see him perform across five states from October to December 2025.
In a post shared on his official X handle, the award-winning artist revealed that the tour will kick off in Akwa Ibom on October 26, move to Adamawa on October 29, Enugu on November 1, and Ibadan on November 9, before climaxing in Lagos on Christmas Day, December 25.
“I am blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go, Nigeria goes with me. But this time, I’m bringing it home,” Davido wrote. “After an unforgettable North American tour, it’s only right we bring that energy back where it all began.”
The singer described the Nigerian tour as a deeply personal journey that celebrates the culture, rhythm, and resilience of his people. “5ive Tour Nigeria, y’all ready? This one’s for the culture. This one’s personal. This one is for us,” he added.
A homecoming years in the making
The 5ive Tour marks Davido’s first multi-city concert series in Nigeria in several years. His last major domestic performance was the sold-out Timeless Concert at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, in April 2023, followed by a massive stadium show in Abuja later that year.
Since the announcement, social media has erupted with excitement, with fans pledging to attend every leg of the tour. The hashtag #Davido5iveTour quickly began trending, as many hailed it as a long-overdue celebration of one of Afrobeats’ greatest global ambassadors.
Beyond the music, the tour is expected to spotlight local creative talents and celebrate the global rise of Afrobeats, now a billion-dollar industry shaping pop culture worldwide.
