Jigawa Pilgrims Told to Complete Hajj Payments by October 8

Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has called on intending pilgrims to complete their 2026 Hajj fare payments before October 8, 2025.

The Director-General of the board, Alhaji Umar Labbo, announced this at the headquarters in Dutse. He reminded pilgrims that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria fixed the deposit at ₦8.5 million.

“The training is important as the payment deadline for next year’s Hajj seats approaches. We urge pilgrims to pay promptly,” he said.

Labbo explained that Jigawa State received an allocation of more than 1,600 Hajj seats. According to him, preparations are already in motion to ensure a smooth exercise.

Training to Improve Pilgrimage Welfare

He disclosed that a special workshop was held for pilgrims’ officers and zonal officers. The goal was to improve welfare and find solutions to likely challenges during the Hajj season.

Labbo praised Governor Umar Namadi for supporting the board. “The operational framework this year has improved significantly compared to last year,” he noted, pointing to lessons from past experiences.

The DG also thanked the board members and stakeholders for their efforts. He said cooperation between officials and pilgrims would guarantee a peaceful and rewarding journey.

Deadline and Spiritual Preparedness

Labbo reminded pilgrims that October 8 remains the final day for payment. “We encourage early payment to avoid a last-minute rush,” he stressed.

He further urged pilgrims to prepare spiritually as well as financially. “With these measures and government backing, Jigawa pilgrims will have a fulfilling and comfortable Hajj experience in 2026,” he said.

The DG acknowledged the role of the media in public awareness. He called it a “strong partner” in the success of pilgrimage preparations.
