The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released results for the 2025 June/July National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations.
Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, announced the results at NABTEB’s Abuja Annex Office on Thursday. He said “a total of 92,875 candidates registered across 1,892 centres nationwide.”
This marks a 37.08% increase in enrolment and a 10.77% rise in examination centres compared to 2024.
Improved Performance Across Subjects
Dr. Mohammed said 61,104 candidates (68.18%) scored five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics. Another 74,633 (83.28%) secured five credits and above with or without English and Mathematics.
English Language recorded a 93.10% pass rate, while Mathematics achieved 94.60%. He added that “the 2025 performance is better when compared to the 2024 June/July NBC/NTC examinations.”
Analyses showed enrolment spanned 16 Engineering Trades, 7 Construction Trades, 9 Miscellaneous Trades, 4 Business Trades, and 16 General Education subjects.
The board recorded 435 candidates involved in 516 malpractice cases, compared to 349 candidates and 524 cases in 2024. Dr. Mohammed noted: “More candidates passed Mathematics while fewer candidates passed English this year compared to last year.”
The Registrar also announced the start of registration for the 2025 November/December NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examinations. He urged prospective candidates to use the NABTEB portal or visit state and zonal offices for guidelines.
