Jang Asserts PDP is United, Strong, and Formidable

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has always been a strong and united party across Nigeria. Unlike other political parties, PDP has never divided into factions since it started, thanks to its solid foundation.

These are the expressions of the former governor of Plateau State, Jonah David Jang. However, he criticized some of the founding members who had left the party for personal gain.

“Even though some individuals who once claimed to be founding fathers of the party have strayed, I ask, can a true founding father abandon his own house?”

Jang said it was important for the presidency to be zoned to the South after the eight-year leadership of President Buhari from the North. He pointed out that some individuals twisted the process for personal benefit.

Leadership Balance and Party Unity

Jang believes the PDP should bring back leadership roles to the North Central region once the current party chairman, Umar Damagum, finishes his term.

“We had it with Iyorcha Ayu, but he messed us up. After Damagun from the Northeast completes his tenure, it should be returned to the North Central, where it originally belongs.”

He stressed the importance of supporting the only PDP governor in the Central Zone.

Jonah Jang also spoke of his genuine love and loyalty to the PDP are more important than political tactics, remarking, “Those who do not love the PDP cannot pretend to love it now. True love for the party is demonstrated through loyalty, not political gymnastics.”

PDP members showed their support for Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State by endorsing him and his team for a second term.

Their commendation was based on the remarkable progress the governor and his deputy have brought to the state, especially in infrastructure and the economy.

The endorsement celebrated these achievements and showed confidence in their leadership for future development. They acknowledged the strong transformation in the state under their leadership.

The members of the caucus agreed that the governor and his team’s performance over the past two years deserved recognition and support for their continued vision for Plateau State.
