Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, and his wife, Faith Abiola Oyedepo, have celebrated 43 years of marriage.
The couple tied the knot in 1982, long before the Living Faith Church, known as Winners’ Chapel, grew into a global Christian ministry with branches in over 60 nations. Their journey, both personal and ministerial, has become a model for millions of believers worldwide.
On Thursday, their children took to Instagram to share glowing tributes, posting fresh portraits of their parents dressed in white traditional attire, beaming with joy.
“Happy 43rd Wedding Anniversary to our parents Bishop David and Pastor Mrs Faith Oyedepo. We give God glory for your marriage! Thank you for showing us that a lasting hitch-free marriage is possible,” the family wrote.
They added, “We pray that the Lord would continue to uphold you and your home shall continue to reflect His glory and beauty, drawing multitudes to the kingdom, in Jesus’ name. Congratulations Sir & Ma.”
A Journey That Shaped Nigerian Christianity
Oyedepo’s marriage to Faith has remained intertwined with the growth of his ministry. He founded Living Faith Church in 1981 after a vision of “liberating the world from all oppression of the devil.” Just one year later, he was already building his home with Faith, his partner in life and ministry.
Together, they raised four children – David Jr., Isaac, Love, and Joyce. David Jr. now serves as a resident pastor, while Isaac pastors abroad, continuing the family’s ministry legacy.
Beyond church leadership, Bishop Oyedepo established Covenant University and Landmark University, producing graduates who are shaping Nigeria’s education and economy. In 2011, Forbes named him Nigeria’s richest pastor, estimating his net worth at over $150 million at the time.
