The founder of Mount Zion Divine Gospel Ministry Inc., Prophet Bomadi Serimoedumu, has prophesied that former President Goodluck Jonathan could return to power in 2027 — and win.
Speaking at Paradise City Zion, the church’s headquarters in Bomadi, Delta State, the prophet, known among his flock as the Field Marshall of the Prophetic and Secret Revealer of the Niger Delta, said he saw Jonathan raising the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) high above others.
In the vision, Jonathan’s victory was followed by nationwide celebration and an era of prosperity.
“I see President Goodluck Jonathan in Aso Rock leading this country again. If he chooses to run in 2027, he will return as President. There will be prosperity, and the people will rejoice,” Serimoedumu said.
A Prophecy of Prosperity
The cleric declared that Jonathan’s tenure, if realised, would last four years and bring economic relief to the nation. The vision, he explained, showed “mass jubilation” sweeping across the country as living conditions improved.
Prophet Serimoedumu is no stranger to political prophecies. During the 2023 elections, he claimed to have seen President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in a spiritual encounter.
“In that vision, Tinubu sat on a chair while Shettima sat on the floor beside him. Tinubu promised to run for only one term and asked for my support. I agreed. But I noticed his running mate was visibly displeased with the one-term idea,” he recalled.
Visions, Politics, and 2027 Speculation
He described these revelations as “awe-inspiring secret things”, saying they reaffirm his divine calling. His latest prophecy comes amid speculation about whether Jonathan — who governed Nigeria from 2010 to 2015 — has any intention of mounting a political comeback.
Jonathan, now an influential figure in African diplomacy, has not confirmed or denied such ambitions. But Serimoedumu’s words have stirred conversations among PDP supporters and political analysts.
