The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has postponed its online recruitment exercise for paramilitary jobs until July 21, 2025.
The decision was made due to the overwhelming number of applicants flooding the board’s portal, https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, in a short time. Many applicants had faced slow loading and login delays.
In a statement released on Thursday, the board’s secretary, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril, said the suspension would give room for improvement of the portal’s performance.
“This development will ensure that the portal accommodated the high level of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent and fair recruitment process,” he said.
Massive Interest From Job Seekers
CDCFIB said it was amazed by how many Nigerians rushed to apply. The original recruitment date was July 2. It was first moved to July 14 and now to July 21.
“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies,” Jubril added.
The board said it is working with its tech team to optimise the portal to handle large traffic and process all applications fairly.
Who Is Recruiting?
The agencies involved in the recruitment include:
- Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
- Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS)
- Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
- Federal Fire Service (FFS)
All applicants are advised to visit the official portal only and avoid third-party links or fake recruitment agents.
