On Wednesday in Makurdi, Benue State, Acting National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, announced the party’s openness to all Nigerians, ensuring no one faces bias.
Mark, through Gabriel Suswam, the former governor of Benue, highlighted this at the state launch of the coalition, promising, “There will be no bias or marginalization of anyone. Everyone will be treated equally, no matter who you are.”
The ADC, Mark reassured, is for the people and not solely for an individual in power. He encouraged citizens to take part in electing their leaders, remarking, “None of us will directly engage in this process, and all segments of society will have representation.”
Fresh Leadership for New Starts
Mr. Mark introduced a seven-member protem leadership headed by Terngu Tsegba to manage the party’s transformation.
The members include Samson Okwu, Stephen Ayua, Elizabeth Alagh, Cletus Tyokyaa, Abeji Egwa, and Atoo Agber. Tsegba pledged transparency and adherence to the party’s principles.
He remarked, “We will strive to ensure that all our internally displaced individuals return to their native lands. We will provide local government autonomy, not merely in theory.”
David Olofu conveyed the Benue South Senatorial District’s enthusiasm about joining the ADC initiative, confirming their preparedness for the 2027 elections.
