The spiritual leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has claimed that the persistent insecurity in Benue State is not accidental.
According to him, certain individuals embedded within both the state and federal government structures are deliberately creating the crisis.
He made the statement on Sunday through his media aide, warning that the violence is being used as a political tool to destabilise President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Primate Ayodele alleged that these hidden figures are surprisingly close to the corridors of power and are using insecurity as a means to discredit the current government.
Primate Warns of Internal Conspiracy Against Tinubu
According to the cleric, the ongoing insecurity in Benue is not just a security failure but a carefully planned agenda.
“People causing insecurity in Benue are in the government system, even in the state and federal. Nobody wants to hear their names because it will be very shocking,” he said.
Ayodele advised the President to stop ignoring the growing unrest and act decisively. He warned that the issue could damage the president’s reputation and reduce his chances of leading a stable administration.
“President Tinubu needs to wake up to these insecurity problems; they want to use it to destabilize his government,” he said.
He cautioned that political insiders are working against Tinubu and are using violence as a tactic. These efforts, he insisted, are part of a wider political strategy to create chaos and undermine public confidence in the president’s leadership.
The prophet also discouraged the president from getting carried away by those praising him. He suggested that sycophants might be blinding the president to the true severity of the security challenge.
“I am not anyone’s friend, but Tinubu should wake up. Don’t let them be singing Hosanna for you. Insecurity is a serious matter,” he warned.
Primate Ayodele advised Tinubu to treat the matter with the urgency it deserves and identify those within the system who may be fueling the unrest.
Advise to National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu
Whie Primate Ayodele refrained from mentioning any names of officials conspiring in the Benue State insecurity, he made a passionate appeal to President Tinubu’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu to act before it is too late.
“I speak not to accuse, but to awaken you. I call you,Nuhu Ribadu,man of reputation, I urge you to rise and take heed. You have the ear of the President. Use it. You have the power of the security structure, I have the spiritual intelligence, Stir it. You have been warned, again.
“I have cried out in the night and warned in the day. I have seen in the spirit what was hidden from men. I have spoken before it happened, and still, it came to pass, because the warnings were not heeded. Time and again, I reached out with details, with insight, with visions from beyond, to protect this nation you are sworn to defend. Yet the blood of the innocent continues to stain our soil.
“These herdsmen these marauders clothed in silence ,are not just attacking villages. They are tearing at the very fabric of President Tinubu’s government. They are bringing shame upon the authority of the state, making mockery of our sovereignty, and sowing fear across the land. Let it not be said that you were silent when the trumpet was blown. The night grows darker. But still, there is time, if only you will act,” he said.
Other Prophecies
The prophet used the opportunity to urge the United Bank for Africa (UBA) that there are “people planning to steal the gold stored in their bank.“. He also predicted that “three banks will shut down completely. Their current names will be erased, and they will reopen under entirely new names.“
He claimed he was not given authorisation from higher powers “mention the specific banks, but the shutdown will be total.”
Furthermore, he said “Managing Director of Zenith Bank should be extremely careful. There are people plotting against her, and it’s not just about business; they are after her life. She needs to stay alert, cautious, and avoid making moves without proper protection, prayers and wisdom.“
To his credit, the prophet had prophesied before the 2023 election that there would be increased economic hardship such that the country had never known in the past if it re-elected the ruling All Progressive Congress to power in 2023.
