China Begins Evacuation of Citizens from Israel Over Worsening Conflict with Iran

The Chinese embassy in Israel has announced the start of an evacuation exercise for its nationals as tensions between Israel and Iran continue to grow. The embassy said the move became necessary due to increasing violence and rising uncertainty in the Middle East.

The evacuation will begin on Friday and will be done in batches. Chinese citizens will be transported by bus from Tel Aviv to Egypt through the Taba Border Crossing, covering a distance of about 360 kilometres.

The embassy is working with Israeli and Egyptian authorities to ensure the safety of the route and the people being moved.

In a public notice issued on Thursday, the embassy warned, “The Israel-Iran conflict continues to intensify, with increasing casualties. The possibility of further deterioration cannot be ruled out.”

The decision shows China’s growing concern about the unpredictable security environment in Israel, where violence has continued to escalate in recent weeks.

More Countries Expected to Respond as Tensions Rise

The evacuation reflects a trend of nations reviewing their emergency plans as the crisis is not abating. Several foreign governments have issued travel advisories for the region and are closely monitoring the situation.

Embassies around Israel are said to be preparing to relocate or support their citizens if the violence worsens.

The conflict between Israel and Iran has moved beyond diplomatic confrontations to open threats and military actions. Recent airstrikes and missile attacks have led to the deaths of dozens of civilians and increased fears of regional instability.

As military activities escalate, foreign nationals have become more vulnerable, and governments are stepping in to prevent harm.

The Chinese embassy has advised all its citizens in Israel to stay alert, avoid crowded places, and keep their phones on. It also encouraged them to contact the embassy if they require help.

As other countries watch events closely, many are expected to follow China’s lead in arranging evacuations or issuing firmer warnings about the safety of travel to Israel and surrounding regions.

On Wednesday, Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar, informed the nation of the government’s plans to evacuate Nigeria’s citizens trapped in Israel and Iran back home.
