Rock legend Bruce Springsteen has announced the release of over 80 never-before-heard songs in his upcoming collection, “Tracks II: The Lost Albums.”

The collection, set to launch on June 27, will feature seven full-length albums recorded between 1983 and 2018.

Springsteen revealed that these tracks were initially set aside but are now ready for the world. “The Lost Albums were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released,” he said in a statement on Thursday.

A Long-Awaited Release

The seven albums include songs that span decades of Springsteen’s career, offering fans a deep dive into his evolving musical style. The albums in the collection are:

  • LA Garage Sessions ‘83
  • Streets of Philadelphia Sessions
  • Faithless
  • Somewhere North of Nashville
  • Inyo
  • Twilight Hours
  • Perfect World (which features the newly released single “Rain In The River”)

Springsteen said that the pandemic gave him the time to go through his archives. “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them.”

A Variety of Sounds

According to a press release, the collection features different musical styles, from drum loops and synth-driven sounds to orchestral compositions and country-inspired melodies. Springsteen explained, “The ability to record at home whenever I wanted allowed me to go into a wide variety of different musical directions.”

To give fans a taste of what’s coming, he has already released “Rain In The River”, a song from Perfect World. More singles are expected before the full collection drops.

Springsteen is also preparing to resume his 2025 European tour with the E Street Band. The tour kicks off in Manchester in May and wraps up in Milan in July.
