Dangote Thrill Nigeria’s Car Market with New Peugeot 3008T Model

Dangote Group, a leading conglomerate in Nigeria, has strengthened its position in the country’s automobile sector with the introduction of new Peugeot models.

The company, which acquired the franchise for Peugeot brands a few years ago, has continued to roll out models from its plants in Kaduna and Lagos.

The latest additions to Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria’s (DPAN) lineup include the Peugeot 3008 GT model, assembled at the Kaduna plant, and the Peugeot Landtrek 4×2, a pickup truck.

We are engaged in discussions with auto companies to expand our Peugeot sales and after-sales network by accrediting dealerships across Nigeria,” said Umar Isa-Kaita, DPAN’s Chief Commercial Officer.

The introduction of these new models is part of DPAN’s efforts to revitalize the Peugeot brand in Nigeria, which was once the most popular brand in the country.

With its Kaduna plant capable of assembling 120 vehicles per day, DPAN is poised to reclaim the Peugeot brand’s former glory in Nigeria’s automotive market.

DPAN’s new offerings put pressure on other Nigerian car brands, including Nigeria’s first indigenous car manufacturing company, Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing (IVM), Nnewi, Anambra State which produces both luxury SUVs and heavy-duty trucks including commercial buses.
