Nigerian music icon Tuface Idibia has dispelled all rumours and speculation surrounding his purported extra-marital affair with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru by owning up to it.
Idibia also confirmed the estranged relationship with his wife and mother of his 3 children, Annie, was irredeemable and heading for a divorce.
In a viral video released Tuesday, Tuface dismissed claims linking Natasha to the breakdown of his marriage, stating, “I have seen so many things, so many people coming up with their own false and malicious nonsense after I posted what I posted.”
Tuface described Natasha as a “beautiful, smart, and amazing young woman” whom he loves and intends to marry. However, he insists she played no role in the dissolution of his marriage with Annie, – but how’s he to know with his romantic commitment to Ms Natasha?
“I said what I said. Everyone is going to be alright … Honourable Natasha is a young, brilliant woman, and she has nothing to do with what’s happening between me and Annie…Yes, I love her. I want to marry her,” Tuface insists.
The singer clarified that he and Annie are not in conflict and that they both consent to the divorce and understand the rationale for the separation.
The couple, who have been married since 2012, had reportedly been living apart for some time before filing for divorce earlier this year. Some family members of Tuface have portrayed Annie as irrational, vindictive and combustible; and Annie’s supporters, of her husband, Tuface, as immature.
In January, Tuface finally announced his split from Annie in a social media post although the chaotic marriage had been a public reality show for several years.
