President Bola Tinubu has appointed board chairpersons for 42 federal organizations and a secretary to the Board of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services. He has also appointed a new Managing Director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a Director-General for the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).
The President directed the board chairpersons not to interfere with the management of the organizations, emphasizing that their positions are non-executive. A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, says all the appointments take immediate effect.

Hillard Eta from Cross River State chairs the Board of the National Youth Service Corps, Ministry of Youth Development. Professor Bolaji Akinyemi from Lagos State is the Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, while Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje from Kano becomes Chairman of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria.
Senator Surajudeen Ajibola from Osun serves as the Chairman of the National Sugar Development Council, with Alhaji Sulaiman Argungu from Kebbi becoming Chairman of the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading Company. Senator Magnus Abe from Rivers chairs the National Agency for Great Green Wall.
Mr. Festus Fuanter from Plateau will serve as the Chairman of the National Teachers Institute, with Kazeem Raji from Oyo becoming the Director-General of the National Board for Technology Incubation. Chief Victor Giadom from Rivers serves as Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, while Comrade Mustapha Salihu from Adamawa chairs the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.
Hamma Ali Kumo from Gombe becomes the Chairman of the Industrial Training Fund, with Donatus Nwankpa from Abia chairing the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology. Senator Abubakar Maikafi from Bauchi chairs the Sheda Science and Technology Complex.
Alhaji Nasiru Gawuna from Kano becomes Chairman of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, while Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi from Lagos serves as Chairman of the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion. Chief Kekemeke from Ondo becomes Chairman of the Nigerian Postal Service, while Musa Sarkin Adar from Sokoto chairs the National Inland Waterways Authority.
Professor Abdulkarim Abubakar from Nasarawa is the new Chairman of the National Steel Council, while Garba Datti Muhammad from Kaduna becomes Chairman of the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, with Mu’azu Bawa Rijau from Niger chairing the National Bio-Safety Management Agency.
Duro Meseko from Kogi State becomes the Chairman of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute, while Hajia Zainab Ibrahim from Taraba chairs the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe. Dr. Kayode Opeifa from Lagos becomes Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, with Aare Oyebode Bankole from Ogun serving as Chairman of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti.
Mr. Abdullahi Israel from Lagos is the Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, with Dr. Mary Idele from Edo becoming the Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba. Retired Major General Jubril Abdulmalik from Kano becomes Secretary of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board, with Mr. Uguru Ofoke from Ebonyi becoming Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia. Felix Chukwumenoye Morka from Delta will serve as Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, while Alhaji Bashir Gumel from Jigawa serves as Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Yola.
Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu from Imo becomes Chairman of David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital, Ubuhu, Ebonyi State, while Chief Edward Omo-Erewa from Edo becomes Chairman of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency. Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar from Kaduna will serve as Chairman of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, with Ali Bukar Dalori from Borno serving as Chairman of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Anambra State.
Alhaji Lawal Liman from Kaduna becomes Chairman of Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika, Zaria, with Dr. Abubakar Isa Maiha from Katsina serving as Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Katsina. Alhaji Isa Achida will serve as Chairman of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, while Dr. Mohammed Hassan from Zamfara becomes Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kudu.
Yahaya Bello Wurno from Sokoto is the Chairman of the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority, with Augustine Chukwu Umahi from Ebonyi becoming Chairman of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. Babatunde Fakoyede from Ekiti will serve as Chairman of the Federal Scholarship Board, and Babatunde Shola Olofin from Ekiti serves as Chairman of the Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund.
Dr. Ikye Orikpo from Delta State becomes the new Chairman of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital.
