TVC Communications, a Nigerian news and current affairs broadcaster, has launched a modern studio in Eko Atlantic City, Lagos. This move comes after the company relocated from Ikosi Ketu, where its previous studio suffered significant damage during the #EndSARS protests in October 2020.
There have been claims that the television station is a private investment of President Bola Tinubu, but no evidence supports this. The connection may have made TVC a target during the protests. At that time, Tinubu was the leader of the ruling APC party, though he was not yet president.
Following the protests, TVC promised to build a bigger and better studio while preserving all jobs. The new multi-storey studio complex officially opened as the company’s corporate headquarters at Eko Atlantic is the promise kept.

The unveiling ceremony attracted prominent figures from Nigeria’s media and marketing industries, including Mr. Charles Ebuebu, the Director General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission.
With the opening of its new studios, TVC now joins other businesses in the rapidly developing Eko Atlantic City, which has over eight completed towers and more than 20 under construction.
The first digital studios in Nigeria and the subregion will house various stations, including TVC News, TVC Entertainment, Max FM Radio, and the new Yanga FM (Pidgin-speaking).
TVC Communications also owns Adaba FM in Ondo State.
Mrs Victoria Ajayi, CEO of TVC Communications, remarked that the company is now well-positioned to lead digital broadcasting in Nigeria. She encouraged potential advertisers to use the new studios and quality programs to reach a wider audience.
Key management team members who attended the unveiling included Morayo Afolabi-Brown (Managing Director, TVC Entertainment), Stella Din-Jacob (Director of News & Editor-in-Chief), and others.
