Another Indian airline received a bomb scare. An Air India Express (IX-196) flight from Dubai to Jaipur, India, received an email threat of a bomb as it was departing from Dubai late Friday prompting immediate security measures and an emergency response.

The Airbus A320neo, carrying 189 passengers and crew, took off and landed safely at Jaipur International Airport at 1:20 a.m. local time Saturday morning.

According to airport officials, Air India’s security team received the email threat early on Saturday, prompting them to alert authorities and initiate standard security protocols.

The flight was thoroughly screened, and no suspicious items were found,” said a spokesperson for Jaipur International Airport. “Passengers and crew were evacuated safely, then the aircraft was cleared to depart.”

Passengers on board the Air Indian Express said they were relieved and grateful for the swift response from airline staff and security personnel.

We were worried, but the crew handled the situation professionally,” said one passenger on the flight. “It’s reassuring to see security measures in place.

Security agencies are investigating the source of the email threat, as there have been several in recent days. Nearly 40 flights operated by Indian carriers have received bomb threats, all of which later turned out to be hoaxes, a report by the news agency PTI on Saturday said.

These incidents highlight the importance of continued vigilance in aviation security,” said an India’s Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) official. “We take all threats seriously and respond swiftly to ensure passenger safety.

Air India Express has assured passengers that security measures are being continually reviewed and strengthened.

A London-bound Vistara flight (UK17) from New Delhi was diverted to Frankfurt, Germany, on Friday after a bomb threat.

India’s Civil Aviation Ministry plans to establish strict norms to prevent incidents of hoax bomb threats to airlines.

However, these incidents are causing worries among air travelers, particularly those on Indian airlines. They are demanding enhanced security measures to prevent a potential air disaster from any of these threats emerging in recent days.
