Putin Ally Predicts US Will Collapse In “Imminent New Civil War”

Former Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev warned the US of an “imminent new civil war” amid the 2024 presidential race. Medvedev compared the US political climate to the American Civil War, comparing it to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He argued that Donald Trump‘s threat to lift sanctions against Russia would not be enough to stage a revolution against the Deep State. The US Department of State dismissed Medvedev’s statements as “standard Kremlin nonsense.” The idea of a civil war in the US has been brought up by Russian officials, with former adviser Sergei Markov predicting a one-week end to the conflict in Ukraine.
