Nigerian Labour Congress members gathered at the national headquarters of NLC in Abuja this morning of Thursday August 29, in support of their President, Joe Ajaero, who has been invited by the Nigerian Police Force for questioning over allegations of terrorism financing cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony
The union leaders were seen addressing members that gathered Thursday morning.
Mr Ajaero is scheduled to be in the police facility by 10:00am, but it is still unclear if he has arrived.
NLC had earlier threatened a national indefinite strike if their boss is detained, and accused the government of trying to stifle the voices of Nigerian workers.
Union members in various states of the Nigerian federation are expected to march to police headquarters in solidarity, according to a directive by NLC General Secretary, Emmanuel Ugboaja, yesterday.
