A new President of the Nigerian Bar Association has emerged. Afam Osigwe, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has been elected to run the association for a two-year term.
The former NBA Secretary-General received the most votes for President in the 2024 NBA election, conducted online.
Osigwe scored 20,395 votes to defeat runners-up Tobenna Erojikwe, previously chairman of the NBA Institute of Continuing Legal Education Governing Council, with 10,970 votes.
The polling occurred between Saturday from 12 midnight and 1:59 pm Sunday.

Mrs. Bridget Ijeoma Edokwe was elected the association’s publicity secretary.
