Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has paid a condolence visit to the family of former Senate President Bukola Saraki. Madam Saraki died on June 18.
Mrs Tinubu, in a heartfelt expression, emphasized the unity that transcends politics, stating that the Saraki and the president’s families are one. She also acknowledged their shared service in the 9th Senate and his support for her at the time.
She prayed for the soul of the departed and praised the late 89-year-old matriarch as a passionate and loving woman.
Other members of the Saraki family, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Mrs. Tope Edu, and Mr. Laolu Saraki, were also present.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was said to have approved the visit.
