President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria has approved Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho‘s appointment as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
This announcement was made in a statement on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale. The statement also show that Senator Adedayo Adeyeye will be the Chairman of the NPA Board.
Dr. Dantsoho holds a Doctorate degree in maritime technology from Liverpool John Moores University and a Master’s degree in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales. He has previously served in various roles within the NPA, including Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager of Onne Port, and Principal Manager of Tariff and Billing.
Senator Adeyeye, the new Board Chairman, is an experienced lawyer, journalist, and politician. He is a former Minister of State for Works and has represented Ekiti South Senatorial District in the Senate.
The statement said the president has high expectations from the new leadership of the NPA. He anticipates that they will deliver excellence in their duties, ensuring efficient port services and improved industry outcomes.
