The sixth annual Academy Museum Gala took place in Los Angeles on 17 October 2026 and drew a host of Hollywood stars.
The red carpet featured significant star power, with attendees including Taylor Swift, Charlize Theron, Colman Domingo, Demi Moore, Hailey Bieber, Jacob Elordi, Kendall Jenner and many others.
Inside the venue, the evening continued with further celebrity sightings and networking among actors, filmmakers and industry figures.
The gala raised more than 14 million United States dollars to support the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ exhibitions, education programmes and public initiatives.
Co-chairs for the night included Tom Ford, Robert Rodriguez, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw.
Honourees were filmmaker and composer John Carpenter, actor Colman Domingo and actress Charlize Theron.
Swift Takes the Stage
The evening concluded with a special musical performance by Taylor Swift.
She was introduced by Conan O’Brien, who described her as “John, Paul, George and Ringo all in one.”
Swift performed several songs, including the first live rendition of “The Fate of Ophelia” from her 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl.
She also sang “Blank Space,” “Love Story” and her original track “I Knew It, I Knew You” from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack.
The set marked one of her first public performances since an appearance at the Grammy Museum earlier in the year.
Swift arrived on the red carpet in a custom pale blue Dior gown by Jonathan Anderson and later changed into a sparkling navy strapless dress for her performance.
The Academy Museum Gala has become a notable fixture on the awards-season calendar, combining fundraising with high-profile entertainment.
Guests included a wide range of figures from film, music and fashion who gathered to celebrate cinema and support the museum’s mission.
The combination of a glamorous red carpet, strong attendance and Swift’s closing performance helped make the 2026 edition a high-profile success.
