The Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja has granted bail to social media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, in the sum of ₦20 million.

The ruling came on Thursday in her ongoing trial over an alleged ₦69.15 million fraud.

Justice Rahman Oshodi granted the bail after weighing her application against the seriousness of the allegations and the punishment the law prescribes.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026, on a two-count charge of stealing and obtaining money by false pretences.

According to the anti-graft agency, she fraudulently obtained ₦69,150,000 from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited in March 2025, under the pretext of securing a property lease in Lagos’ Lekki area.

She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Court Sets Strict Bail Conditions

During the bail hearing, the court asked about the whereabouts of the defendant’s international passport.

Defence counsel told the court the passport had been lost, presenting an affidavit of loss along with public notices published on the matter.

In his ruling, Justice Oshodi ordered Blessing CEO to provide two responsible sureties in the same ₦20 million sum.

He directed that each surety submit a three-year bank statement or evidence of a fixed deposit worth at least ₦20 million.

The judge also ordered that the defendant and her sureties be profiled through the Lagos State Judiciary’s Bail Information Management System, and that the Nigerian Immigration Service be notified of her travel restrictions pending the case’s outcome.

The trial has been adjourned to October 12, 2026, for continuation.
