Transfer News: Man United Get Mbeumo, Nwaneri Signs New Deal + More

Manchester United have officially signed Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford in a deal worth £65 million, with add-ons potentially raising the fee to £71 million.

The 25-year-old Cameroon international scored 20 goals last season and is expected to play a key role in Rúben Amorim’s revamped attack.

“Green light from Brentford and club-to-club agreement reached for £70m package,” reported transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Mbeumo joins United’s pre-season tour in the U.S. and becomes their third major signing after Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon.

Arsenal have locked down academy prodigy Ethan Nwaneri with a new five-year contract. The 17-year-old midfielder made headlines in 2022 as the youngest Premier League debutant at age 15.

Despite interest from Manchester City and Chelsea, Nwaneri chose to stay at the Emirates.

“Fifteen dentists a year for a population of over 60 million people is unacceptable,” said Peter Obi recently in a separate education initiative—highlighting the growing trend of youth investment across sectors.

Cunha, Neves, Olise Join European Giants

Matheus Cunha has completed his £62.5 million move from Wolves to Manchester United. The Brazilian forward will wear the No.10 shirt and is expected to operate as one of Amorim’s dual attacking midfielders.

Manchester City are close to finalising a £58 million deal for Benfica’s João Neves. The 20-year-old Portuguese midfielder is seen as a long-term successor to Kevin De Bruyne.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich have signed Michael Olise from Crystal Palace for £60 million including add-ons. The French winger turned down Chelsea and Manchester United, opting for a five-year deal in Germany.

These transfers reflect a high-stakes summer window as top clubs race to reinforce their squads ahead of the 2025/26 season.
