Debate Over The “Founder Of The New World” Finally Scientifically Resolved

The final resting place of Christopher Columbus, the Spanish sailor credited with discovering the Americas, has been confirmed. A team of scientists has solved the 500-year-old mystery surrounding Columbus’ burial site, verifying with “absolute certainty” that his remains are buried in Spain’s Seville Cathedral.

After 20 years of DNA analysis on human bones found in the cathedral, Miguel Lorente, the forensic scientist leading the research, stated, “Today, it has been possible to verify it with new technologies so that the previous partial theory that the remains of Seville belong to Christopher Columbus has been definitively confirmed.” The team compared DNA taken from the samples with that of Columbus’ relatives and descendants.

The findings put an end to speculation that Columbus was buried in the Dominican Republic. Lorente’s team used the remains of the explorer’s son, Hernando, and brother, Diego, who are also buried at Seville Cathedral, to confirm the identity.

Research also sheds light on Columbus’ ancestry, which historians have debated. While some believe he was Italian, others suggest Polish or Spanish origins. The study’s results in the documentary “Columbus DNA: The True Origin” indicate that Columbus was likely Spanish and Jewish.

Columbus’ 1492 expedition had a profound impact on world history, leading to the European occupation of the Americas and the deaths of millions of indigenous people. It also ignited the transatlantic slave trade, resulting in the mass transportation of Africans to the Americas.

The discovery of his final resting place provides closure to a centuries-old debate.

However, alternative historical perspectives challenge this conventional narrative, suggesting that Africans were, in fact, the first to inhabit the Americas and that the concept of indigenous red Indians was a later fabrication to mask the actual victims of land dispossession in America.
