Founder and President of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye, has issued a stern warning to bloggers and skit makers against trivializing spiritual matters, cautioning them about the serious consequences of mocking deities and the church.
In a strongly worded statement, Bamiloye accused some bloggers of being driven by financial gain to disrespect Christ and the church, claiming they are being used by the devil to undermine the Christian faith.
His remarks appear to be a reaction to recent online skits that mock religious leaders and which tend to dispute accounts of spiritual healings and other miraculous happenstances, particularly those associated with ministries such as The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Ministry, known for its testimonies of supernatural deliverance and divine interventions.
Bamiloye went on to warn bloggers who exploit spiritual matters for monetary gain, saying, “Bloggers looking for content to tarnish the Church of Christ, paid by the devil to drag His body in the mud for profit, you are being used by the devil. The judgment of God is hanging upon all the pranksters making a mockery of God and the Body of Christ.“
However, the preacher also expressed worries about the dangers posed by false testimonies and the use of the church for personal gain.
“Playing pranks with God! If you stand on the Lord’s altar to give fake testimonies deliberately, you are playing pranks with God! If you mount the altar of God to tell lies about what He did not do, you are playing pranks with God!“
The cleric concluded by affirming the power of God and the message of the scripture which says, “With God, nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37).
He urged everyone involved to step back and seriously consider the eternal repercussions of their actions.
